At giftclub4u, we respect your privacy and handle your data with the same care we put into wrapping our gift boxes.

This policy applies to all visitors, newsletter subscribers, Gift Club members, and customers of our boutique. It explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you hold over your data. It is written to be read—not buried in legal language.

1. Data Collection

We only collect information necessary to deliver your gifts, manage newsletter preferences (stored locally on your device), and optimize your browsing experience.

Specifically, we collect:

• Order details — recipient name, shipping address, gift message, and personalization notes.
• Contact information — your name and email address when you submit an order, inquiry, or Gift Club application.
• Newsletter data — your email address and subscription preferences, stored locally on your device.
• Payment tokens — secure confirmation tokens from our payment processor (we never see or store your full card number).
• Anonymous technical data — browser type, device category, and traffic patterns used solely to improve site performance.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as medical records, government identification numbers, or financial account details through this website.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information we collect is used strictly for the following purposes:

• Assembling and shipping your gift orders.
• Coordinating delivery timing and special requests.
• Sending newsletter updates you have opted into.
• Processing Gift Club memberships and quarterly box fulfillment.
• Responding to inquiries and support requests.
• Improving the layout, speed, and usefulness of our website.
• Complying with applicable tax and regulatory obligations.

We never sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We do not run targeted advertising based on your data.

3. Storage

This web application utilizes browser localStorage to preserve your shopping cart and subscription statuses locally without third-party tracking.

Specifically, the following data is stored on your own device:

• Cart contents — so your selections are not lost if you navigate away.
• Newsletter subscription state — so we do not ask on every visit.
• Navigation memory — so returning to the site feels continuous.

Personal information you submit through order forms or inquiries is stored securely on our servers—not in your browser.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share your information only with trusted service providers who help us operate—such as delivery couriers, artisan partners shipping directly, and email delivery platforms. Each provider is contractually bound to use your data only for the purpose it was shared and in accordance with this policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, third-party tracking pixels, or external advertising networks. Any analytics we perform is self-hosted and privacy-first.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption, access controls, and periodic security reviews. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized team members only.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:

• Order records — retained for 7 years as required by tax law.
• Gift Club memberships — retained while your membership is active and for 24 months after cancellation.
• Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe.
• Inquiry records — retained for up to 24 months, then securely deleted.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal data.
• Withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@giftclub4u.com. We aim to respond to all privacy-related requests within 7 business days.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

9. Updates To This Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in law, technology, or our practices. The effective date at the top of this page will always indicate the most recent revision. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

10. Contact

For questions regarding this privacy policy or the handling of your personal data, please reach out to us at privacy@giftclub4u.com. We are committed to transparency and will answer any question you may have.

Welcome to giftclub4u. By accessing our platform, you agree to our terms of curated service.

These terms exist to protect both our editorial team and your experience as a reader and customer. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the site.

1. Club Memberships

Membership subscriptions may be paused or canceled at any time before the quarterly shipping window.

Key membership terms:

• Pause or skip — Available at any time through your account settings, with no penalty.
• Cancellation — Processed immediately for future shipments; already-shipped boxes are non-refundable.
• Auto-renewal — Never applied unless you explicitly opt in. You are never charged without notification.
• Shipping windows — Members are notified at least 14 days before each quarterly dispatch.

2. Orders & Payment

All prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout.

• Order confirmation — You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed.
• Custom requests — Special orders may require a 50% deposit at booking.
• Payment — We accept all major credit cards and digital wallets, processed securely via encrypted gateways.

3. Production & Delivery

Every giftclub4u box is assembled by hand. Production timelines reflect the care we put into every order:

• Standard gift orders — 3–5 business days for assembly and dispatch.
• Gift Club boxes — Shipped in the first week of each season.
• Custom commissions — 2–4 weeks, depending on artisan availability.

Delivery is arranged by our courier partners. If you need a gift by a specific date, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm feasibility.

4. Returns & Refunds

If an item arrives damaged or is incorrect, we will replace it or issue a full refund. Please report issues within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and its packaging.

Because giftclub4u boxes are curated and hand-assembled, we do not accept returns on opened Gift Club boxes. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days after we verify the issue.

Unless otherwise stated, giftclub4u and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on giftclub4u. All intellectual property rights are reserved.

We use essential functional cookies and local storage tokens to remember your cart selection and unboxing interactions.

This policy explains what we store, why we store it, and how you remain in control. It is written to be read—not skimmed.

1. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?

Cookies and local browser storage are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time—such as which items you have placed in your cart or whether you have already subscribed to our newsletter.

These technologies do not contain personal information and cannot be used to identify you directly. However, they may be linked to data you voluntarily provide.

2. What We Store

We store only the following data in your browser:

• Cart contents — so your selected gift items are not lost if you navigate away or reload the page.
• Unboxing interactions — a record of which packaging previews you have viewed, so we do not repeat them.
• Newsletter subscription state — a flag indicating whether you have opted into our journal, so we do not ask again on every visit.
• Navigation memory — a record of which page you last visited, so returning to the site feels continuous.

3. What We Do Not Store

We do not store your name, email address, IP address, device fingerprint, or browsing history in cookies or local storage beyond what you voluntarily submit. Personal information is stored securely on our servers only when you submit it through a newsletter signup, order form, or contact form.

4. Why We Use Local Storage

Local browser storage allows the website to remember your preferences without requiring an account or login. It is a convenience for you, not a tracking mechanism for us. Without it, every visit would feel like the first—your cart would reset, unboxing progress would clear, and navigation would be less fluid.

5. Third-Party Content

Some pages may embed content from external platforms, such as artisan studio videos, courier tracking widgets, or social media feeds. These platforms may set their own cookies, which we do not control. We recommend reviewing their privacy and cookie policies if you have concerns.

6. How To Manage Your Preferences

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

• View and delete stored data for individual sites.
• Block all cookies and local storage entirely.
• Set exceptions for sites you trust.
• Automatically clear storage when the browser closes.

Please note that disabling local storage may affect the functionality of this website, including the ability to keep items in your gift cart or preserve your unboxing progress.

7. Retention

Local storage data remains on your device until you clear it or until it expires naturally:

• Cart contents — retained for up to 30 days.
• Unboxing interactions — retained for up to 90 days.
• Subscription preferences — retained for up to 12 months.

8. Updates To This Policy

We may update this cookie policy periodically to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current policy.

9. Contact

If you have questions about how we use local browser storage, please reach out to us at privacy@giftclub4u.com. We are happy to explain exactly what is stored and how to remove it.
